Help Darfur Now: Pacifica High School French Club

Hello, my name is Landon E.. I am President of the Pacifica High School French Club (Garden Grove, CA). I am writing in response to a request for a blurb about our fundraising activities that we had in order to raise money for Help Darfur Now.

Our first activity was selling crêpes (a traditional French food) during lunch time at our school. That was how we raised most of our money. We also conducted a recycling program in which we collected recyclable goods from students at lunch for a week, and also collected from students who brought in recyclable goods from home. We then added the money that we collected from the recyclables to the fund. This way we were also able help make a small yet positive difference for the environment. Finally, we collected donations in the classroom of the club advisor, which also brought in a very significant portion of our fund.

In all the fundraising amounted to $425.00, which we were pretty excited to be able to give. Thanks so much for what you guys are doing. It is truly of global importance, and we wish the best of luck to your organization.
