Bar and Bat Mitzvah projects

Welcome to Help Darfur Now (HDN), a non-profit organization founded by three high school students, whose mission is to raise awareness of and funds for the victims of the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Since its inception in 2005, HDN has grown to include more than 300 nationwide chapters involving thousands of students.

HDN is pleased to announce that at the beginning of 2009, the founders and original officers of HDN passed on the responsibility for and leadership of HDN to Michael and June Schechner and Tanya Simon. Michael, Tanya and June want to thank Nina, Bruce, Karen, Andy and Amy for their dedication and commitment to the cause, as well as for their past and ongoing assistance with the organization
