Rally - March 18th- Morristown NJ

Help Darfur Now was honored to participate in the North Jersey Coalition for Darfur rally held in Morristown on March 18, 2007. The rally was attended by approx 500 people from around the area.

Speakers included Senator Menendez, Simon Deng, along with HDN co-founder Arielle Wisotsky. Other HDN speakers included  Ilana Rosoff, Jon Stone, and Adam Basciano.  Great job! HDN members Ian Bliss and Ian Steege should also be thanked for lending their musical talents to the rally.  

 Also in attendance at the rally were students from the Morristown  High School Chapter of Help Darfur Now, Livingston  High School Chapter of HDN, Hebrew Academy of Morris County Chapter of HDN, & Mountain Lakes Chapter of HDN.

HDN would like to thank Morgan Engel.for her hard work and assistance in fundraising during the rally. Approximately $1,000 was raised from the sale of T-shirts and other items.

An additional $5,000 collected at the rally will be sent to HDN from the North Jersey Coalition for Darfur. Special thanks to the members of the Coalition (including Tanya Simon) for a great day!
